Abstract

Penyelidikan ini bertujuan membincangkan tentang pengaruh kriteria individu terhadap prestasi kerja adaptif jururawat. Jururawat merupakan antara kerjaya penting yang menjadi penyumbang kepada kesejahteraan negara mereka untuk merawat dan menguruskan orang sakit. Cabaran utama mereka masa kini adalah untuk mengurus dan pesakit yang semakin meningkat. Selain itu, Biro Pengaduan Awam ketiga tertinggi jumlah responden kajian. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan borang soal selidik yang diadaptasi dari kajian lepas Data kemudiannya dianalisis menggunakan perisian Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS).  terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara penghargaan kendiri, motivasi kerja, komitmen organisasi dan kecerdasan emosi terhadap prestasi kerja adaptif . Hasil kajian boleh dijadikan untuk meningkatkan prestasi kerja adaptif jururawat Malaysia.

ABSTRACT

 

This research aimed to discuss the influence of individual characteristic towards nurse’s adaptive work performance. Nurse is among important career that contribute to the nations’ well-being because they treat and take care sick person. Their major challenge now is to fulfil the needs and take care for patients that are increased. In fact, according to the Public Complaint Organization, the public health service was rated as the third organization received highest number of total customer complaints. This demonstrated that the low ability of achieving adaptive work performance. Therefore, there is a need to determine employee’s characteristic that is able to achieve adaptive work performance. Research respondent involved 100 nurses working with Hospital Kepala Batas, Pulau Pinang. Data was collected using questionnaire that adapted from previous questionnaires. Data was then analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software. Findings indicated that there is a significant relationship between organizational commitment, emotional intelligent, job motivation, and self-esteem towards adaptive work performance among respondents. Research findings can be useful to improve adaptive work performance among nurse in Malaysia in order to decrease complaints towards the public health service.
