MENGENALPASTI DIMENSI PRESTASI KERJA BERKESAN PEGAWAI PSIKOLOGI DARI PERSPEKTIF ANALISIS PEKERJAAN BERASASKAN PERSONALITI LIMA FAKTOR (IDENTIFICATION OF EFFECTIVE JOB PERFORMANCE DIMENSIONS OF PSYCHOLOGY OFFICERS FROM THE PERSPECTIVES OF JOB ANALYSIS BASE

Abstract


Individual determination and the right job should be given due attention in the personnel selection practices . Where there is a match between personality type and type of environment, the individual is said to have a career that matches with their personality. The main purpose of this study is to explore the aspects individual personality taxonomy and work personality taxonomy and also to identify consistency between individual personality  and work personality  among psychology officers in public service. The subjects for this research were 250 psychology officers in public service. The study was conducted using the method of questionnaire consisted of three sections, which were; respondents demographic profile  (Section A), inventories International Personality Item Pool (IPIP) (Section B) and the Personality Inventory Related Position Requirements (PPRF) (Section C). Data were analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modeling  (SEM) using SPSS. 18 and AMOS 5.0. Results obtained showed that there was model fit of individual personality and work personality with the data. The results also described only extraversion and agreeableness in work personality  directly influenced sub factor agreeableness in individual personality. However, sub factors openness, conscientiousness, extrovert and neuroticism in individual personality  have no direct influence on the other work personality factors in the model.
