THE CHALLENGES AMONG PEOPLE WITH VISUAL DISABILITIES IN IMPLIMENTING SHOLAT

Abstract

Sholat is the greatest demand worship of more than other religious claims that liaise directly with Allah, and it plays an important role in people's lives for good fortune. Claim this solat is compulsory for every individual Muslim who holds no matter whether old or young, rich or poor, but also compulsory for the people with disabilities (PWD). However, there are challenges and obstacles that faced by people with disabilities in the implementation of sholat different with other normal people, especially the blind. The objective of this study is to identify the challenges to be faced by the blind in performing sholat that are enjoined on them. This study only focuses on those visually impaired or the blindness because they are need to be given more attention than other disabled because of the vision problems that should they faced which is will be prevents them from learn and practice the sholat perfectly. The findings of this study from article review revealed that there are three main challenges for the visually impaired in performing the sholat, the challenges in terms of infrastructure, information access and the challenges of family and community support.
