Abstract
ABSTRAK
Filem Imam (2023) yang merupakan adaptasi daripada novel bertajuk Imam karya Sasterawan Negara, Abdullah Hussain. Filem ini telah diarahkan oleh pengarah berkaliber Malaysia iaitu Mior Hashim Manap. Filem Imam mengupas tentang konflik sesama orang agama Islam, orang politik dan mengkritik realiti sikap masyarakat Melayu yang masih berlaku sehingga hari ini. Sehubungan dengan itu, objektif artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjawab persoalan mengenai apakah nilai sosial yang diangkat dalam filem Imam dengan mengaplikasikan aspek Sosiologi Sastera. Pendekatan Sosiologi Sastera telah diperkenalkan oleh Karl Max dan Federick Engels. Nilai sosial dapat difahami sebagai gambaran masyarakat serta perbuatan yang menjadi kayu ukur dalam menentukan perbuatan baik atau buruk dalam sesebuah masyarakat. Metodologi yang digunakan untuk mengumpul data adalah kaedah kualitatif. Kaedah perpustakaan dilakukan dengan meneliti bahan-bahan seperti artikel, jurnal, tesis-tesis lepas dan internet untuk memperolehi data. Filem ini sarat dengan mesej tersurat dan tersirat yang menggambarkan realiti sebenar kehidupan masyarakat Melayu. Antara nilai sosial yang dikupas dalam kajian ini adalah nilai kasih sayang, nilai prihatin, nilai kepimpinan, nilai bersyukur, nilai taat, dan nilai keberanian. Penerapan nilai-nilai sosial dalam kehidupan merupakan cerminan terhadap identiti masyarakat Melayu.

ABSTRACT
The film Imam (2023) is an adaptation of the novel titled Imam by Sasterawan Negara, Abdullah Hussain. This film was directed by the Malaysian director Mior Hashim Manap. The film Imam examines the conflict between Muslims, politicians and criticizes the reality of the Malay community's attitudes that still occurs today. In this regard, the objective of this article aims to answer the question of what social values are raised in the film Imam by applying aspects of Literary Sociology. The Literary Sociology approach was introduced by Karl Max and Frederick Engels. The application of social values in life is a reflection of the identity of the Malay community. Social values can be understood as a description of society and actions that are the yardstick in determining good or bad actions in a society. The methodology used is a qualitative method and materials such as articles, journals, past theses and the internet are referred to obtain data. This film is full of explicit and implicit messages that depict the true reality of the life of the Malay community. Among the social values examined in this study are the value of love, the value of caring, the value of leadership, the value of gratitude, the value of obedience, and the value of courage.
