Abstract

Abstrak 

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji persepsi pelajar Ijazah Sarjana Muda Geografi terhadap penggunaan aplikasi myCuaca dalam persekitaran kampus lestari daripada aspek pengetahuan, sikap dan amalan penggunaan aplikasi myCuaca. Aplikasi myCuaca amat penting diketahui kerana dapat membantu memberi maklumat semasa cuaca dan menghindari kesan bencana. Pendekatan kuantitatif dengan reka bentuk tinjauan melalui instrumen soal selidik digunakan dalam kajian ini. Seramai 108 responden daripada pelajar Sarjana Muda pendidikan (ISMP) Geografi bagi Tahun 2020 dipilih melalui kaedah pensampelan secara rawak mudah. Analisis deskriptif (kekerapan, peratus, min dan sisihan piawai) serta analisis inferensi (korelasi Pearson dan Ujian-t) digunakan untuk menjawab persoalan kajian. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan tahap pengetahuan (M= 2.83, SP= 0.41), sikap (M= 2.84, SP= 0.37) dan amalan penggunaan aplikasi myCuaca (M= 2.65, SP= 0.50) berada pada tahap yang sederhana. Seterusnya hasil dapatan daripada analisis korelasi Pearson mendapati bahawa wujud hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara pengetahuan dengan sikap penggunaan aplikasi myCuaca (r= 0.621, p= 0.000). Seterusnya, hubungan pengetahuan dengan amalan penggunaan aplikasi myCuaca juga menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan (r= 0.520, p= 0.000) dan hubungan sikap dengan amalan penggunaan aplikasi myCuaca juga adalah signifikan (r= 0.590, p= 0.000). Manakala, bagi Ujian-t pula menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan tahap pengetahuan, sikap dan amalan penggunaan aplikasi myCuaca dalam kalangan pelajar ISMP Geografi berdasarkan jantina dengan nilai tahap pengetahuan [t= 0.06, sig= 0.95 (p>0.05)], sikap [t= 0.47, sig= 0.64 (p>0.05)] dan amalan [t= -0.11, sig= 0.951 (p>0.05)]. Secara keseluruhannya, kajian ini menunjukkan tahap pengetahuan, sikap dan amalan penggunaan aplikasi myCuaca dalam kalangan mahasiswa Geografi adalah sederhana. Dapatan hasil analisis korelasi turut menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara kesemua pemboleh ubah kajian. Maka adalah wajar bahawa pemboleh ubah kajian yang dikaji diambil kira untuk meningkatkan penggunaan aplikasi myCuaca.

 Abstract 

This study aims to identify the perceptions of Geography students on the use of myCuaca application within a sustainable campus from the aspect of knowledge, attitudes, and practices. The application is essential to know because it can help provide weather and disaster information. A quantitative approach with survey design through questionnaire instrument was used in this study. A total of 108 respondents from Bachelor of Education (ISMP) Geography students for the Year 2020 were selected through a simple random sampling method. Descriptive analysis (frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation) and inference analysis (Pearson correlation and t-test) were used in this study. The result shows that the level of knowledge (M = 2.83, SD = 0.41), attitude (M = 2.84, SD = 0.37) and the practice (M = 2.65, SD = 0.50) of using myCuaca application still in moderate level. Furthermore, the Pearson correlation analysis results found a positive and significant relationship between knowledge and the attitude of using myCuaca application (r = 0.621, p = 0.000). Moreover, the relationship between knowledge and the practices of using myCuaca application also showed a significant relationship (r = 0.520, p = 0.000) while the relationship of attitude with myCuaca application usage practices was also significant (r = 0.590, p = 0.000).The t-test analysis showed a significant difference in knowledge, attitude and the practice of using myCuaca application in ISMP Geography students based on gender that shows the values of knowledge [t = 0.06, sig = 0.95 (p> 0.05)], attitude [t = 0.47, sig = 0.64 (p> 0.05)] and practice [t = -0.11, sig = 0.951 (p> 0.05)]. Overall, this study shows that the knowledge, attitude, and practice of using the myCuaca application among Geography students are still moderate. All of the study variables show a significant relationship. Therefore, all the variables should be taken into account to increase the use of myCuaca application.
