PERSEPSI DAN PENERIMAAN PELAJAR TERHADAP PENGGUNAAN APLIKASI QUIZIZZ DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA MELAYU DI SEBUAH SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERSENDIRIAN CINA (Students' Perception and Acceptance of the Use of the Quizizz Application in Learning the Malay Language in A Chinese Private Secondary School)
Abstract
ABSTRAK: Kajian ini dijalankan adalah untuk mengkaji persepsi dan penerimaan pelajar terhadap penggunaan aplikasi Quizizz dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Melayu di sebuah Sekolah Menengah Persendirian Cina (SMPC) Klang. Kajian ini dijalankan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Reka bentuk kajian ialah kajian tinjauan yang menggunakan borang soal selidik. Kajian ini melibatkan 98 orang pelajar Tingkatan 2 di sebuah SMPC di Klang. Data deskriptif dianalisis dengan menggunakan kekerapan, peratusan, min dan sisihan piawai manakala data inferensi dianalisis dengan menggunakan ujian t. Dapatan kajian mendapati para pelajar mempunyai persepsi yang positif terhadap penggunaan aplikasi Quizizz dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Melayu iaitu persepsi kebergunaan aplikasi Quizizz (M=3.66, SP=0.85) dan persepsi kemudahan penggunaan (M=3.96, SP=0.96). Hal ini menunjukkan bahawa para pelajar berpandangan baik terhadap aplikasi Quizizz dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Melayu. Bukan itu sahaja, kajian juga mendapati penerimaan pelajar terhadap aplikasi Quizizz juga tinggi (M=3.54, SP=0.92). Hal ini menunjukkan bahawa para pelajar dapat menerima penggunaan aplikasi Quizizz dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Melayu mereka dengan baik. Ujian t mendapati tiada perbezaan yang signifikan antara persepsi dan penerimaan pelajar lelaki dan pelajar perempuan terhadap penggunaan aplikasi Quizizz (p>.05). Kajian ini menyokong Model Penerimaan Teknologi (TAM) yang diasaskan oleh Davis (1986). Model TAM ini menyatakan bahawa penerimaan individu terhadap sesuatu teknologi bergantung kepada persepsinya terhadap teknologi tersebut. Jika persepsi individu terhadap sesuatu teknologi adalah baik, maka ia dapat menerima teknologi tersebut dengan baik. Maka, kajian ini menyokong Model TAM tersebut kerana para pelajar mempunyai persepsi yang baik terhadap aplikasi Quizizz tersebut dan seterusnya dapat menerimanya dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Melayu. Kesimpulan, kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa persepsi dan penerimaan terhadap aplikasi Quizizz adalah positif. Oleh itu, guru-guru Bahasa Melayu diharapkan dapat mengaplikasikan Quizizz dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran Bahasa Melayu supaya dapat meningkatkan minat dan motivasi para pelajar.

ABSTRACT: This study was conducted to examine the perception and acceptance of students towards the use of the Quizizz application in learning Malay Language in a Chinese Private Secondary School (SMPC) Klang. This study was conducted using a quantitative approach. The study design was a survey study that used a questionnaire. The study involved 98 Form 2 students at SMPC in Klang. Descriptive data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation while inferential data were analyzed using a t-test. The findings of the study found that students have a positive perception of the use of Quizizz application in learning Malay Language, namely the perception of the usefulness of Quizizz application (M = 3.66, SP = 0.85) and the perception of ease of use (M = 3.96, SP = 0.96). This shows that the students have a good opinion of the Quizizz application in learning Malay Language. Not only that, the study also found that the level of student acceptance of the Quizizz application was also high (M = 3.54, SP = 0.92). This shows that students can accept the use of the Quizizz application well in their Malay Language learning. The t-test found no significant difference between the perceptions and levels of acceptance of male and female students towards the use of the Quizizz application (p> .05). This study supports the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) founded by Davis (1986). This TAM model states that an individual's acceptance of a technology depends on his or her perception of the technology. If an individual's perception of technology is good, then he can accept the technology well. Therefore, this study supports the TAM Model because the students have a good perception of the Quizizz application and subsequently can accept it in learning Malay Language. In conclusion, this study shows that the perception and acceptance of Quizizz application is positive. Therefore, Malay Language teachers are expected to apply Quizizz in teaching and learning Malay Language to increase the interest and motivation of students.
