KEBERKESANAN DAN IMPAK PENGGUNAAN TEKNOLOGI KECERDASAN BUATAN DALAM PENGAJARAN KEMAHIRAN LITERASI BAHASA MELAYU BAGI MURID IBAN DI SEKOLAH RENDAH LUAR BANDAR DI DAERAH KAPIT (The Effectiveness and Impact of Using Artificial Intelligence in Teaching Malay Literacy Skills for Iban Students in Kapit District at Rural Primary School)
Abstract
Abstrak: Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti keberkesanan dan impak teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam pengajaran kemahiran literasi bahasa Melayu dalam kalangan murid Iban di sekolah rendah luar bandar. Kajian ini dijalankan untuk mendapatkan persepsi guru-guru bahasa Melayu sekolah rendah di daerah Kapit, Sarawak akan AI dalam pengajaran kemahiran literasi. Peserta kajian ini terdiri daripada 105 orang guru bahasa Melayu yang mengajar di Kapit dan Song. Kutipan data bagi kajian ini menerusi borang soal selidik yang diedarkan menggunakan aplikasi Google Form. Proses analisis data menggunakan kaedah analisis secara deskriptif dan inferensi menggunakan perisian Statistical Package for the Social Science versi 24 (SPSS 24). Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa tahap keberkesanan AI terhadap pengajaran kemahiran literasi bahasa Melayu berada pada tahap sederhana secara keseluruhan (min 2.76) dan impak penggunaan AI dalam pengajaran kemahiran literasi bahasa Melayu berada pada tahap sederhana secara keseluruhan (min 2.72). Berdasarkan hasil analisis korelasi yang dilakukan, didapati bahawa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengalaman mengajar dan min impak (r=0.154, p<0.117). Implikasi kajian ialah penggunaan teknologi AI dalam pengajaran kemahiran literasi dalam kalangan guru bahasa Melayu sekolah rendah di Kapit, Sarawak menunjukkan teknologi AI memiliki impak yang positif. Penggunaan teknologi AI dalam proses PdP terbukti berkesan dalam meningkatkan kefahaman, kemahiran literasi dan minat murid terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Melayu. Aplikasi AI dalam proses PdP juga mampu meningkatkan prestasi akademik dan keyakinan berkomunikasi menggunakan bahasa Melayu.

Abstract: This study uses a quantitative approach aimed at identifying the effectiveness and impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in teaching Malay language literacy skills among Iban students in rural primary schools. This study was conducted to obtain the perceptions of primary school Malay language teachers in the Kapit district, Sarawak, regarding AI in literacy skills teaching. The participants of this study consisted of 105 Malay language teachers who teach in Kapit and Song. Data collection for this study was conducted through questionnaires distributed using the Google Form application. The data analysis process used descriptive and inferential analysis methods with the Statistical Package for the Social Science 24 (SPSS 24) software. The study findings indicate that the effectiveness of AI in teaching Malay language literacy skills is at a moderate level overall (mean 2.76) and the impact of using AI in teaching Malay language literacy skills is also at a moderate level overall (min 2.72). Based on the results of the correlation analysis conducted, it was found that there is no significant relationship between teaching experience and mean impact (r=0.154, p<0.117). The implication of the study is that the use of AI technology in teaching literacy skills among primary school Malay language teachers in Kapit, Sarawak shows that AI technology has a positive impact. In conclusion, the use of AI technology in the teaching and learning process has proven effective in enhancing students' understanding, literacy skills, and interest in learning the Malay language. The application of AI in the teaching and learning process can also enhance academic performance and confidence in communicating using the Malay language.
