ANALISIS PERBANDINGAN EFIKASI PENGAJARAN DAN KALANGAN GURU BAHASA MELAYU TAHUN SATU (A Comparison of the Teaching Efficacy among Primary One Malay Language Teachers)

Abstract


Abstrak: Kajian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbandingan efikasi pengajaran guru Bahasa Melayu yang mengajar tahun satu sekolah rendah di negeri Sabah. Responden kajian ini melibatkan sebanyak 429 orang guru Bahasa Melayu tahun satu di seluruh negeri Sabah yang dipilih secara rawak bertujuan. Satu set soal selidik bagi mengukur efikasi pengajaran diadaptasi daripada soal selidik “Teacher Efficacy Scale” (TES) Gibson dan Dembo. Kaedah statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensi seperti min, kekerapan, sisihan piawai, dan ANOVA Sehala dioperasikan. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan skor min efikasi pengajaran berada pada tahap yang kuat. Analisis ANOVA Sehala pula menunjukkan bahawa (i) tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan efikasi pengajaran guru berdasarkan kelayakan ikhtisas (ii) terdapat perbezaan efikasi pengajaran guru berdasarkan pengalaman mengajar mata pelajaran Bahasa Melayu.

Abstract: This study aims to identify the different teaching efficacy in influencing the Malay Language.  The respondents in this study comprised of 429 primary school teachers in Sabah. The sample was selected using purposive random sampling technique. The efficacy items were adapted from Teacher Efficacy Scale (TES) questionnaire designed by Gibson and Dembo.  Descriptive and inferential statistics comprising of mean, frequencies and one-way ANOVA were used. The result of this study showed that the mean score of teaching efficacy among Malay Language teacher is high,  teaching efficacy and professional qualification did not show any significant However, Malay Language teaching experience showed a significant difference.
