KEUNIKAN LAKSA PERLIS SEBAGAI TARIKAN GASTRONOMI PELANCONGAN DI PERLIS
(THE UNIQUENESS OF LAKSA PERLIS AS A GASTRONOMIC TOURISM ATTRACTION IN PERLIS)

Gastronomi ialah bidang penyelidikan melibatkan hubungan kulinari dan budaya dalam sesebuah masyarakat. Gastronomi merangkumi proses seperti menemui, merasai, mengalami pengalaman, mengkaji, memahami dan menulis tentang penyediaan serta kualiti deria bagi nutrisi manusia secara menyeluruh. Kini keunikan gastronomi di sesebuah negeri di Malaysia telah dijadikan salah satu daya tarikan utama dalam bidang pelancongan. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti keunikan dan keaslian Laksa Perlis dari sudut pandang gastronomi tempatan. Fokus kajian dijalankan di sekitar negeri Perlis Indera Kayangan. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah wawancara, kaedah catatan dan pendokumentasian untuk mendapatkan data. Kemudian data akan dianalisis dengan mengaplikasikan konsep Rangka Rujuk Silang (RRS) bagi melihat kesinambungan terhadap keunikan laksa Perlis dan pendapat hasil temu bual responden. Hasilnya, keunikan Laksa Perlis berdasarkan bidang gastronomi ini mampu menjadi daya tarikan utama kepada pelancong yang bertandang ke negeri Perlis. Tuntasnya, Laksa Perlis sering kali menjadi buah mulut para pelancong yang bertandang ke negeri Perlis kerana keunikan rasanya, sejarahnya, bahan penyediaannya dan cara pemakanan yang tersendiri.

Abstract
Gastronomy is a field of research that explores the culinary and cultural connections within a society. It involves processes such as discovering, tasting, experiencing, studying, understanding, and documenting the preparation and sensory qualities of human nutrition in a holistic manner. Today, the unique gastronomy of certain states in Malaysia has become one of the main attractions in the tourism industry. This study aims to explore the uniqueness and authenticity of Laksa Perlis from a local gastronomic perspective, focusing on the state of Perlis Indera Kayangan. The research employs interviews, note-taking, and documentation methods to collect data, which is subsequently analyzed using the Cross-Referencing Framework (RRS) to examine the continuity of Laksa Perlis’s uniqueness based on respondents' perspectives. The findings indicate that the unique gastronomic features of Laksa Perlis have the potential to serve as a major attraction for tourists visiting Perlis. In conclusion, Laksa Perlis is often a subject of conversation among tourists due to its distinctive taste, history, ingredients, and unique eating style.
