TAHAP KESEDIAAN GURU CEMERLANG BAHASA MELAYU TERHADAP PELAKSANAAN KOMUNITI PEMBELAJARAN PROFESIONAL DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH DI NEGERI MELAKA (The Readiness of Excellent Teachers of Malay Language to Implementation of Professional Learning Community (PLC) at Secondary School in Malacca State)

Abstract


Abstrak: Komuniti Pembelajaran Profesional (KPP) merupakan pendekatan baharu yang diperkenalkan dalam bidang pendidikan di Malaysia. Kajian ini dijalankan bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti tahap kesediaan GCBM terhadap pelaksanaan KPP ini di sekolah menengah di negeri Melaka. Tahap kesediaan diukur berdasarkan tiga konstruk utama, iaitu (i) menilai dan menyelia pengajaran guru, (ii) menyelaras kurikulum dan (iii) memantau pencapaian akademik pelajar. Kajian tinjauan ini menggunakan instrumen soal selidik dijalankan terhadap  semua 44 orang GCBM sekolah menengah di negeri Melaka. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa GCBM sangat bersedia untuk menyokong pelaksanaan dan pembudayaan KPP di sekolah menengah.  Justeru, langkah KPM memperkenalkan KPP dalam membantu meningkatkan kualiti dan pencapaian  akademik dan kokurikulum sekolah adalah tepat pada masanya.

Abstract: The Professional Learning Community (KPP) is a new approach introduced in the field of education in Malaysia. This study was conducted to identify the level of readiness of GCBM towards the implementation of this KPP in secondary schools in Melaka state. The level of readiness is measured based on three main constructs, namely (i) evaluating and supervising teacher teaching, (ii) coordinating the curriculum, and (iii) monitoring the academic achievement of students. This survey survey using questionnaires was conducted on all 44 secondary school GCBM students in Malacca. The findings show that GCBM is very willing to support the implementation and culture of KPP in secondary schools. Hence, KPM's move introduces KPPs in helping to improve the quality and achievement of academic and school co-curriculum in a timely manner.
