Abstract

In the 21st century, organizational advancement relies heavily on Artificial Intelligence. However, human creativity remains crucial, as technological innovations stem from employees' creative thinking. Therefore, this study was conducted to assess the relationship between the dimensions of emotional intelligence, namely self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management, and creativity among employees in a non-governmental organization in Malaysia. A total of 165 employees participated in the survey. SPSS version 30.0 software was used to analyse the survey data and test the research hypotheses. The analysis yielded significant findings, namely a positive and significant relationship between the dimensions of emotional intelligence - self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management - and employee creativity. Furthermore, this study contributes to helping organizational practitioners understand the importance of emotional intelligence in enhancing employee creativity. Creative thinking has become an essential tool in driving organizational success and improving sustainable performance. This study provides suggestions for future researchers to conduct similar studies with other variables related to employee creativity.
