Started career in 2002 in the private sector as a project engineer and QA engineer in bridge, road construction projects as well as housing development for a marine and civil engineering company for over 4 years. Joined Ministry of Health (MOH) Putrajaya, Engineering Services Division in 2006 and was involved in numerous engineering projects, building forensic engineering as well as the management of Hospital Support Services Privatization Project under Unit Kawalselia (presently known as Seksyen Operasi Hospital). Was attached to State Health Department of Sarawak (Engineering Unit) in 2011 for few years providing engineering support to Public Health Program as well as Procurement and Development Section in the department, managing minor civil engineering projects such as renovation of healthcare facilities in Sarawak, carries out troubleshooting of hospital building defects and assist in the management of Hospital Support Services at state level. Revert back to Engineering Services Division in 2014 to the same section till present. Currently on study leave in UNIMAS Sarawak

Holds a PhD in the area of building efficiency from University of Leeds, UK after having completed his B.Sc (Hons) in civil engineering from University of Hartford, USA. His area of specialization is in the area of energy efficiency. He currently heads the Centre Of Renewable Energy as the director as well as teaches undergraduate courses in University Malaysia Sarawak including supervision of a few PhD and Masters student. His research project activities are in the area of building energy efficiency where a few research projects have been done on energy usage and thermal comfort in building in Sarawak. He is actively involved in an on-going consultancy work in Flexible Building System for HDC Sarawak as well as developing Course Syllabus for Diploma in Civil, Electronic and Mechatronic Engineering for ICATS Sarawak. He is also a registered environmental consultant in Sarawak.

Holds a PhD in the area of building thermal comfort from University of Leeds, UK after having completed her M.Sc (Housing) from University of Science Malaysia, Penang and B.Sc.(HBP) also from University of Science Malaysia, Penang. Her areas of specialization is in the area of building thermal comfort. She teaches undergraduate courses in University Malaysia Sarawak including supervision of a few PhD and Masters student under her. Her research project activities are in the area of building thermal comfort as well as other air quality related area. She also is actively involved in an on-going consultancy work in Flexible Building System for HDC Sarawak as well as developing Course Syllabus for Diploma in Civil Engineering for ICATS Sarawak.
W.A.W.Z. Abidin

Holds a PhD in Computer Science and Communication (Kyushu University, Japan) after having completed his MEng in Telecommunication from University of Technology Sdyney, Australia and BEng (Hons) in Electronics and communicational from University of Bristol. His areas of specialization include satellite communication, GPS and GIS, hydro energy, solar energy and wind energy. He teaches undergraduate courses in University Malaysia Sarawak and currently active in research activities in the area of energy efficiency.
