Focus and Scope

Jurnal Personalia Pelajar (also known as Malaysia Journal on Students' Advancement) is a refereed journal committed to the advancement of scholarly knowledge and research findings of several branches of university and college student development. The journal publishes articles, reviews, and research notes whose content and approach are of interest to a wide range of scholars.

Peer Review Process

A screening check for content will be carried out on every manuscript. Each article will review by the reviewer in 2 weeks after the manuscript is submitted. Manuscripts that are submitted by members of the journal’s Editorial Board are subjected to the same review process.

Each submission will undergo the following processes:

  • Content and technical screening
  • Revision of manuscript by author/s
  • Editorial screening/ decision

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal History

Center for Student Affairs (HEP-UKM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia has published a refereed journal entitled Jurnal Personalia Pelajar @ Malaysian Journal of Student Advancement, which is indexed in the Malaysian Citation Center (MyCite) and Google Scholar. This journal has been published since 1989 and focuses primarily on topics related to student progress, for example, soft skills development, management, and professional development for students, as well as issues about learning, pre-university, and university life.
