THE DRUG ADDICTS TAUBAH AND COMMUNITY RECEPTION: THE STUDY CASE AT BAITUL CAKNA TERENGGANU
Taubat Penagih dan Penerimaan Komuniti: Kajian Kes di Baitul Cakna Terengganu
Abstract
Taubah (repentance) is a way to achieve forgiveness and acceptance from Allah S.W.T, taubah may result in the cleansing of soul which in the endwill turn someone to fitrah state that is free from sin. All the scholars agree that taubah is compulsory to everyone who wish to cleanse himself from sin.The objective of this research is to observe the importance of the concept of taubah among drug addicts and the reception from community towards drug addicts at Baitul Cakna, Terengganu. For the purpose of data collection,literature review was done together with a semi-structured review which involved five respondents. The research finds that the drug addicts are exposed to the concept of taubah in their daily life while undergoing rehabilitation process at Baitul Cakna Terengganuthus receiving good perception and reception from the community. As a conclusion, taubah is a good alternative to be brought forward in the context of drug addicts in building a concrete relationship between drug addicts and the community.
