Al-Hikmah is the official academic journal of the Research Centre for Da‘wah and Leadership, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), and is published by UKM Press. Established in 2009, the journal is published biannually in June and December and employs a double-blind peer-review process. Al-Hikmah is an open-access journal that publishes scholarly works in English, Malay and Arabic. Al-Hikmah publishes original research articles, review articles, preliminary research findings and book reviews in English, Malay and Arabic. All submissions must demonstrate a clear and substantive relevance to Islamic da‘wah, whether conceptually, theoretically, empirically or practically. The journal welcomes scholarship on areas including da‘wah communication and media, digital and technological developments, leadership and management, psychology and Islamic counselling, women and family, Muslim converts, sociocultural issues, community development, and other contemporary issues that contribute to the advancement of da‘wah studies.

Al-Hikmah: The Journal of Islamic Da’wah is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published biannually in June and December.
