AIM
Al-Hikmah aims to provide a scholarly platform for the publication of original research in Islamic dakwah, with a focus on advancing systematic and critical inquiry within the field. The journal emphasises the integration of revealed knowledge with relevant contemporary disciplines to support the development of dakwah studies in both theoretical and applied contexts.
The journal seeks to facilitate research that examines key issues in dakwah, including its conceptual foundations, methodological approaches, and practical applications in contemporary society. Particular attention is given to studies that address the interaction between dakwah and areas such as human development, communication, social change, and technological environments.
In line with academic standards, Al-Hikmah prioritises manuscripts that demonstrate methodological rigour, analytical clarity, and clear scholarly contribution. The journal aims to support the continuous development of dakwah as a field of study by providing a focused academic space for research that is relevant, contextually grounded, and aligned with current scholarly discourse.
SCOPE
The journal covers a broad range of topics related to Islamic dakwah, including but not limited to:
Dakwah and Revelation Sciences: Qur’anic studies, Hadith studies, jurisprudence (fiqh and usul al-fiqh), theology, and Sufism.
Dakwah and Human Development: psychology, counselling, psychotherapy, education, leadership, women studies, and issues concerning vulnerable groups, including muallaf and persons with disabilities (OKU).
Dakwah and Society: socio-political issues, culture, community development, tourism, halal industry, law, and Islamic economic and social finance.
Dakwah and Technology: digitalization, communication and media, artificial intelligence, science, language, and translation.
Dakwah and Arts and Humanities: literature, arts, history, and civilization studies.
The journal welcomes original research articles, theoretical and conceptual papers, literature reviews, and case studies that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in dakwah studies, particularly those that demonstrate interdisciplinary relevance and practical implications for contemporary society.
