Abstract

Faith (Akidah) represents the theoretical dimension (nazari) that demands belief and faith in Allah SWT. It precedes other dimensions, and the belief required here is one that is not easily disturbed by doubt and ambiguity. Clear and explicit evidence from the Quran and Sunnah shows that since the emergence of Islamic da'wah, Rasulullah SAW has greatly emphasized the issue of faith and belief. This is very clear in the Makkiyah verses. Meanwhile, Shari'ah represents the dimension of worship that discusses the regulations prescribed by Allah SWT to govern human life regarding the ways of interacting with Allah SWT, other people, and the entire universe. Additionally, the dimension of morality (akhlak) has also been highlighted by Islam to instill a deep sense of awareness or a high level of appreciation while practicing faith and Islamic Shari'ah. This article will discuss how faith becomes an important factor in generating the perfection of human life and its relationship with the issues of Shari'ah and morality.
