THE USE OF TASHBIH IN THE DESCRIPTION OF THE DAY OF JUDGMENT IN SURAH AL-QARI'AH
Penggunaan Tashbih dalam Gambaran Hari Kiamat dalam Surah Al-Qari‘ah
Abstract
The beauty of the language style contained in the Qur'an encompasses the element of al-ijaz (inimitability). The depiction of the Day of Judgment in the Qur'an is also described using the style of al-tashbih (metaphor) to illustrate the conditions of that day. Therefore, this study aims to analyze this depiction in Surah al-Qari'ah. A content analysis approach is used to examine the al-tashbih language style present in Surah al-Qari'ah based on various sources. The study finds that the use of words for this depiction relates to the environment, such as moths, mountains, and hairs. Additionally, the prophesy of future events is an example of al-ijaz, as only the believers accept everything contained in the Qur'an and Hadith without doubt.
