The Role of Islamic Media in Confrontation of Covid-19 from the Viewpoint of the Students of Ajloun University of Jordan
Abstract
The Corona crisis has shown that the media has the power to influence public opinion. The Islamic media bears an important and main aspect in facing Corona crisis. Where the pandemic constituted the largest crisis facing the world, which requires a qualitative presence in confronting it. The media is a force that enables it to influence and change the behavior of individuals and reduce the repercussions of the crisis. This confirms the necessity of relying on Islamic media, given the renewed interest in its role in confronting crises and limiting their spread.The research aims to know the role of Islamic media in confronting Corona from the point of view of the students of Ajloun University of Jordan. The research used the descriptive analytical method based on quantitative design. To reveal the current facts related to the Corona crisis. The data was collected through a questionnaire designed by the researcher to achieve the goal of the research. It included paragraphs distributed over its fields, and the research community consisted of all students of the Jordanian University of Ajloun for the academic year 2021-2022. The research sample was chosen randomly, which included (500) male and female students from members of the original community. Statistical analyzes were performed such as arithmetic means, frequencies, percentages, analysis of variance test. The results indicated that the structural role was more effective compared to the protective, preventive and curative roles. The results indicated that there were statistically significant differences in favor of females in the role of Islamic media in the face of Corona, and that there were no differences attributed to students' specialization.
