THE SECRETARIAT'S PERCEPTION OF MAKNYAH DURING WORSHIP CAMP
Persepsi Urusetia Terhadap Maknyah dalam Kem Ibadah
Abstract
The issue of maknyah in Malaysia has always attracted attention from many sides. ea n his a popular term in Malaysia that is one of the categories of transgender. There are various activities carried out by parties who want to help maknyah to return to the true teachings of Islam. Among them, the Maknyah Worship Camp was held in Cameron Highlands, organized by the Insaf Pahang Association (Persatuan Insaf Pahang). This article aims to study the perception of the urusetia that manages the program towards the maknyah that becomes a participant. The study uses qualitative methods through unstructured interviews. The results of the study found that the urusetians of the program were optimistic about maknyah and hoped that their efforts could ea n incentive to make changes to the true Islamic way of life.
