Abstract

Banglo No. 410 (2015) karya Marzuki Ali mengisahkan tentang riwayat hidup Syed Syeikh al-Hadi. Terdapat banyak persamaan antara drama Dekon Banglo No. 410 (2015) dengan teks biografi Syed Syeikh al-Hadi.  Sehubungan itu, transformasi yang dilakukan oleh Marzuki Ali dalam drama Dekon Banglo No. 410 (2015) berdasarkan biografi Syed Sheikh al-Hadi menjadi fokus perbincangan artikel ini. Justeru biografi Syed Syeikh al-Hadi: Sasterawan Progresif Melayu (1992) menjadi bahan utama kajian ini untuk menemui jawapan. Objektif utama artikel ini adalah mengenalpasti aspek-aspek yang telah ditransformasi dalam drama Dekon Banglo No. 410 (2015). Data bagi artikel ini diperolehi daripada rekabentuk kajian kualitatif. Dapatan artikel ini adalah, terdapat pemindahan dari aspek plot, watak dan latar dalam hiperteks. Apa yang membezakan hiperteks daripada hipoteks adalah susun atur peristiwa. Selain itu, watak Syed Syeikh al-Hadi diangkat sebagai watak protagonis. Pemindahan watak tersebut dilakukan supaya pembaca dapat membayangkan tokoh yang dimaksudkan oleh pengarang. Malahan transformasi turut dilakukan terhadap watak sampingan. Seterusnya, transformasi latar juga dilakukan dalam drama Banglo No. 410 (2015) dari aspek latar tempat, masa dan masyarakat. Pengekalan aspek watak, latar dan penyusunan semula plot cerita dari hiperteks membuktikan bahawa pengarang telah melakukan transformasi dari teks biografi Syed Syeikh al-Hadi: Sasterawan Progresif Melayu (1992) dalam menghasilkan drama Dekon Banglo No. 410 (2015).

ABSTRACT

Bungalow No. 410 (2015) by Marzuki Ali depicts the biography of Syed Syeikh al-Hadi. There are many similarities between Dekon Bungalow No. 410 (2015) and the biography text of Syed Sheikh al-Hadi. The focus of this article is the transformation aspect in Dekon Bungalow No. 410 (2015). The transformation method in Dekon of Bungalow No. 410 (2015) from the biography of Syed Syeikh al-Hadi: Malay Progressive Literature (1992) is the focus of this article. The objective of this article is to identify the principle of transformation in drama Dekon Bungalow No. 410 (2015). The data for this article was acquired from a qualitative research design. The findings of this article are that there are transformation of plot, character and background in the hypertext. What distinguishes hypertext from the hypotext is the plot. In addition, Syed Syeikh al-Hadi’s character is portrayed as the main protagonist. The transformation of character is to enable the reader to imagine the character that is intended by the author. Transformation was also made to the background of Dekon of Bungalow No. 410 (2015) in the aspects of the place, time and society. Asoects that had been retained are the character, the background and rearrangement of plot.
