Abstract
ABSTRAK
Kesedaran tanggungjawab pengundi terhadap pilihan raya amat penting bagi menentukan kepimpinan cekap, amanah, dan telus yang boleh menjadi penentu masa depan negara. Di Malaysia, masyarakat bebas untuk memilih ahli Dewan Rakyat serta ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri melalui pilihan raya yang dilaksanakan sama ada Pilihan Raya Kecil (PRK) atau Pilihan Raya Umum (PRU). Penyertaan politik daripada masyarakat juga seperti berkempen, menjadi ahli politik, memasang bendera, mendengar ceramah dan memberi ceramah merupakan hal sinonim yang sering dilaksanakan ketika pilihan raya. Justeru, adalah menjadi tujuan penulisan kertas kerja ini untuk menganalisis kesedaran tanggungjawab pengundi terhadap penglibatan dalam pilihan raya dengan kajian kes di kawasan DUN Pelangai, Bentong, Pahang. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah mengumpul data lapangan yang melibatkan soal selidik, temu bual, pemerhatian di lapangan dan rujukan sumber sekunder. Penganalisisan data dilakukan melalui perisian Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) versi 27. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa 90 peratus responden berpartisipasi dalam politik yang paling dominan dengan mengundi parti politik. Seterusnya, 56 peratus responden menganggap sistem pendidikan negara banyak membantu meningkatkan kesedaran terhadap kepentingan pilihan raya dan 42 peratus mempunyai minat yang mendalam mengenai politik. Di samping itu, responden menyatakan bahawa faktor paling utama sokongan pengundi kepada Perikatan Nasional (PN) adalah kerana kepimpinan PN yang bersih iaitu sebanyak 28 peratus. Seterusnya faktor utama pengundi yang menyokong Pakatan Harapan (PH) pula adalah kepimpinan Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim sebanyak 48 peratus manakala faktor berpengalaman dalam pentadbiran negara sebanyak 56 peratus adalah faktor utama pengundi memilih Barisan Nasional (BN). Kesimpulannya, kajian ini merupakan sebuah kajian berilmiah yang penting untuk ilmu pengetahuan, menambahkan data baru dalam politik pilihan raya, strategi pelaksanaan dasar, rujukan pengkaji akan datang serta bahan bacaan untuk masyarakat supaya mereka sedar akan kepentingan penglibatan dalam pilihan raya.

ABSTRACT
Voters' awareness of their responsibility towards elections is very important to determine efficient, trustworthy, and transparent leadership that can determine the future of the country. In Malaysia, the public is free to elect members of the Dewan Rakyat and the State Legislative Assembly through elections held either by-elections or General Elections (GE). Political participation from the community, such as campaigning, becoming a politician, putting up flags, listening to lectures and giving lectures are synonyms that are often carried out during elections. Therefore, it is the purpose of writing this paper work to analyze voter's awareness of responsibility for participation in elections with a case study in State Legislative Assembly area of Pelangai, Bentong, Pahang. This study uses field data collection methods that involve questionnaires, interviews, observations in the field and references to secondary sources. Data analysis is done through software the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 27. The results of the study found that 90 percent of respondents participated in the most dominant politics by voting for political parties. Next, 56 percent of respondents think that the national education system helps a lot to increase awareness of the importance of elections and 42 percent have a deep interest in politics. In addition, respondents stated that the most important factor in voter support for Perikatan Nasional (PN) is because of the clean PN leadership, which is 28 percent. Next, the main factor for voters who support Pakatan Harapan (PH) is the leadership of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as much as 48 percent while the experience factor in national administration as much as 56 percent is the main factor for voters to choose Barisan Nasional (BN). In conclusion, this study is a scholarly study that is important for science, adding new data in election politics, policy implementation strategies, references for future researchers as well as reading materials for the public so that they are aware of the importance of involvement in elections.
