THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN GENERATIONS: THE CAUSES OF DISCORD AND WAYS TO FOSTER HARMONY
Hubungan Antara Generasi: Penyebab Perselisihan dan Cara Memupuk Keharmonian
Abstract
The issue of the difference between generations is an old fact in the life of nations and societies. Each generation has its own experience and ideas. The picture of the relationship between the generations does not prove at the same pace as sometimes it may be loud and balanced and sometimes quiet and stable. The research problem goes around today's differences between generations are more extensive as a result of the big boom in global cognitive, information and cultural variables. The research aims to explain the reasons for the differences between generations and to clarify the methods of stability between them. The research uses the deductive analytical method as it depends on studying the phenomenon as it exists in reality, and cares as an accurate description with the aim of studying intergenerational relationships, and explaining the reasons for the differences between them. The main findings of the research are to emphasize the widening generation gap, because of the great contrast in real life, and the difference of age and experience. In addition to the marginalization and bullying behaviors that are practiced by the older generation, and the result of this as the struggles and rebellion of the younger generation. It can also be said that the mental health of community members is related to the nature of the relationship between its members when we care about sustainable development and new generations are allowed to participate, it will be easier to exchange experiences.
