Abstract

By performing **istiqra'** (inductive reasoning) on the Islamic laws related to economic matters, it can be concluded that the Economic System (an-nizham al-iqtishadi) in Islam is based on three main principles. These include how to acquire ownership of wealth (al-Milkiyah), how to manage the ownership of the wealth that has already been acquired (Tasharruf fi al-Milkiyah), and how to distribute wealth within the society (Tauzi' al-Tsarwah bayna al-Nas).
