CHALLENGES FACED BY WORKING CONVERT WOMEN IN SABAK BERNAM DISTRICT
Cabaran Wanita Saudara Baru Bekerjaya di Daerah Sabak Bernam
Abstract
Working as a woman is challenging due to the need to balance responsibilities both at work and at home. This challenge stems from the natural differences between women and men, with women often carrying additional responsibilities despite their inherent physical limitations compared to men. The challenge becomes even greater for female converts because they must not only meet the demands of their professional lives but also uphold their faith. This study aims to identify the challenges faced by working female converts in the Sabak Bernam District to enhance their understanding of Islam. Data was collected through interviews and questionnaires. The study found that the main challenges include job roles that may not align with Islamic requirements, issues with employers, and interactions with colleagues. However, a significant number of them do not face major negative issues, and their embrace of Islam does not significantly impact their careers.
