THE INFLUENCE OF VLOG DA’WAH TO COGNITIVE AND AFFECTIVE TEENAGERS IN PUTRAJAYA
Pengaruh Vlog Dakwah Terhadap Kognitif dan Afektif Remaja di Putrajaya
Abstract
Vlog is a popular new media application among teenagers. Since it is widely used, the question is about the way the vlog can influence teenagers in terms of cognitive and affective, especially in conveying the message of al-da’wah. This study discusses the perception of teenagers in Putrajaya in on Vlog Da’wah with special focus on the cognitive and affective needs that can influence them to Islam. A total of 150 respondents consist of students from form one, two, four and six are chosen purposively from three schools in Putrajaya. The result shows high min value in three constructs that can influence cognitive namely; vlog contains positive words for being able to provide positive impact for teenagers (min 4.07), vlog carries religious messages (min 4.07), vlog that has the integration of music, texts and sounds (min 4.04), vlog contains concise information (min 4.03) and compact to make it easy to understand as well as a vlogger that exhibit spontaneous action (min 4.02).As for the theme, it has five constructs that need to be emphasized to provide information and influence youth to Islamic awareness. The themes are; applying pure value 4.14, theme of advice (min 4.11), theme of conviction (min 4.10), theme of Islamic lecture (min 4.07) and theme relates to the god (min 4.06). To influence the affective needs, the result found high min value in three construct namely awareness of the need to implement the enjoining good and forbidding evil 4.21, realizing that al-Quran can get close to Allah 4.20, awareness for improving the heart with good characters 4.20. The results of this study have important implications to help preachers in improving the method of da’wah by emphasizing the use of good themes as well as fulfilling the cognitive and affective needs in the vlogs presentation.
