THE LEVEL OF RELIGIOUS APPRECIATION OF THE ELDERLY: MEASUREMENT AND METHODOLOGICAL ISSUES
Tahap Penghayatan Agama Warga Tua : Pengukuran dan Persoalan Metodologi
Abstract
This study presents the results of research that measures the level of religious appreciation of the elderly in Kuala Terengganu. To achieve this objective, a total of 160 elderly people were selected as study respondents. The results of this study show that most of the elderly are involved in four aspects of religious activities, namely visiting sick neighbors, participating in tahlil ceremonies, giving alms and attending social gatherings. They participate in these activities because they want to spend the rest of their lives in devotion to God. Overall, this study concludes that the level of religious appreciation of the elderly is high.
