SOCIAL SERVICE OF WOMEN DURING THE TIME OF THE PROPHET MUHAMMAD (SAW)

Abstract
Today, women's involvement in society is increasingly prominent, evident across various aspects of life, and keeps pace with modern developments. Despite many documented accounts of women's contributions and services, some women still do not use the dynamic social service practices of female Islamic figures during the time of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as examples and guidelines in their lives. Social service by women during the time of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) refers to their role in community care, exemplified through practical acts of charity, goodness, and beneficial deeds based on the needs of their community. The Ummahāt al-Mukminīn (Mothers of the Believers) and female companions serve as the best role models for inspiring and practicing noble conduct through charitable work and da’wah (Islamic missionary work). The study reveals that during the time of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), every member of society was active and interacted with each other in various fields such as education and da’wah, animal husbandry, agriculture, trade, management, healthcare, and organizing social events, all while seeking lawful sustenance. Furthermore, each female companion who worked did so to serve her community and family from among the Ummahāt al-Mukminīn. This highlights the significance of women’s activities and their beneficial roles in fulfilling rights and responsibilities towards society.
